At the heart of The Petal Theory is a lady who adores her husband, and knows that marriage isn’t for the faint of heart. Your decision as a couple, to wake up every day and choose to love one another, deserves to be celebrated. THAT is the gritty life stuff that I can’t get enough of.
I started The Petal Theory in December 2015. When I was younger, I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to do for a living. But I knew that whatever it was, I wanted to LOVE IT. You know that little saying "Don't quit your daydream." That was my mantra during my early twenties while I was dipping my toes in all of my different interests. When I finally got down the list to floral design, The Petal Theory was born and it took about 10 minutes for me to realize the search was over. Life as a business owner is rarely peaceful or slow, but I find rhythm in my workspace. I get lost in the repetitive motions when peeling leaves off of each stem. When I am designing a bouquet, I lose track of the time. All I can focus on is the bundle of flowers in my hand. I think about the way the colors compliment one another. I consider the contrast of the textures between each stem. No matter how busy a season becomes, I am constantly reminded of the joy my career brings me.
Don't quit your daydream.
